Pedestrian Handrail
Replacement
When the tubulará guide rails are installed it is
generally necessary to remove the existing handrails.á In other cases, the location
of the guide rails may make access to the handrails
difficult.á This could create a safety
problem for stairway pedestrians and could also create building code
problems.
The lift guide rails are not
suitable for use as handrails due to their height
and 2ö diameter.
A third handrail tube, located
at the correct height and with a code compliant
diameter of 1 1/2ö can be added to the guide rails.
